Disclaimer

Tixivent is software for issuing and scanning tickets. It is not a bank, escrow service, or marketplace that holds guest ticket funds. When you buy tickets, you are paying the event organizer (or the seller named on the order) — not Tixivent. Stripe checkout for Tixivent Basic, Pro, and Pro+ is only for the organizer's software subscription, not for guest ticket money.

Ticket money goes to the organizer

Guests pay the organization (or the seller named on the order) using the methods shown on the order — today that may include Interac e-Transfer, Zelle, or cash. If an organizer later connects their own card payment account (such as Stripe, Square, or PayPal) through Tixivent, card charges for tickets are processed on that organizer's payment account. Tixivent does not take receipt of guest ticket funds and is not the merchant of record for your ticket purchase. For public buy-link orders paid offline, staff confirm that payment arrived before tickets are issued. When a seller takes payment in person, tickets may be issued at the table. If a payment fails, is reversed, disputed, or sent to the wrong person, that is between the guest and the organization — not Tixivent.

Tixivent paid plans are billed by Stripe

If you subscribe to Basic, Pro, or Pro+, Stripe Checkout collects that fee (except while Basic is offered free for a limited time). A successful Stripe payment is required before a self-serve paid upgrade. Failed or cancelled checkout does not change your plan. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment form. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the paid period — there is no refund for unused time. Event creates and included plan SMS reset at each paid renewal; unused leftover from the previous period expires and does not roll over. Complimentary plans assigned by Tixivent last one term and do not auto-renew unless you subscribe through Stripe.

Organizations run their own events

Event details, prices, meal choices, discounts, and door policies are set by the organization. Tixivent does not guarantee that an event will occur, that a venue is safe, or that a ticket will be accepted if the organizer changes their process.

Platform operator access

Tixivent platform operators may open organization records to provide support, investigate abuse, or secure the service. When viewing an order for an organization they do not belong to, guest contact details are masked unless the operator explicitly reveals them for support. Reveals are logged.

No professional advice

Nothing on this site is legal, tax, or financial advice. Organizations remain responsible for receipts, refunds, charitable rules, and any licences their event requires in Canada or the United States.

We do not verify organizers or events

Organizations sign up themselves. Tixivent does not independently verify an organization's identity, its right to run an event, or that an event is legitimate, and we do not endorse any organization or event. You deal with the organization at your own risk. Only pay for an event you trust.

Send payment only as shown

Use the payment instructions or checkout options on your Tixivent order / event page. Do not send money to an address, account, or payment link that is not shown there. A charge or transfer that names the organizer (or their connected payment provider) is payment to the organizer — not a payment to Tixivent.

Report suspected fraud

If an event or organization looks fraudulent or misuses the platform, please report it using the "Report this event" link on the event page, or contact us at abuse@tixivent.app. We investigate reports and may suspend or remove offending organizations, events, or users, but we cannot recover money you have already sent.
